Fourth of July Declaration of Independence Recitation Event

Join us for the 7th Annual Fourth of July Declaration of Independence Recitation Event on the Common starting at 11 am. North Andover Town Moderator, Mark DiSalvo will share the history of the Andover Resolve, when citizens from the Andover’s voted their support (and provided some wording) for the Declaration of Independence. Senator Barry Finegold and Rep Tram Nguyen will read the Declaration of Independence followed by actor Odis Spencer performing excerpts from the Frederick Douglass speech, What to the Slave is the 4th of July? Music by Rockwood Taylor and other speeches related to our democracy will be presented to the audience.
