The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) has recommended the award of Preservation Funds to the Friends of the 1836 Meeting House (FOMH) for the restoration of the Meeting House on the Common known as North Parish. The CPC recommendation must pass a Town Meeting Vote on May 14 at 6:30 pm for the funds to be awarded. The Friends would appreciate your YES vote to ensure that our towns iconic Meeting House continues to be a welcoming beacon day and night.

The FOMH are seeking North Andover Community Preservation funds in the amount of $480,000 to support the costs of much needed preservation and restoration of the Meeting House. The 1836 Meeting House, with its steeple and bell tower, is one of the most well-known and photographed historic structures in New England, even appearing on the cover of a New England travel guide. Perched majestically in the heart of the Old Center of North Andover, the Meeting House is included in the National Historic Register and the local Historic District Register. The historic working bell is one of 23 remaining bells cast by Paul Revere during his tenure with the Foundry.
